We are wine growers

Domaine Les Braconniers, a family-run business for eight generations, perpetuates a winegrowing know-how that combines transmission and experimentation.

Driven by a constantly renewed passion, we explore new approaches, test and reinvent our practices, while remaining deeply rooted in the heritage handed down by our elders.

The soul of the Loire

Each of our bottles embodies the soul of our terroir and the heritage of our estate.

All bear witness to know-how handed down through the generations, where the encounter between land, climate and creativity gives rise to a singular, distinctive experience with character.

A unique terroir in France

Nestled in the heart of the Loire Valley, our family estate has covered 35 hectares since 1803 in the Touraine and Touraine Chenonceaux appellations.

Most of our terroirs face the Cher river, which brings cool nights and helps the aromatic development of our grapes.

The vines are planted on slopes, which naturally facilitates drainage and avoids excess humidity.
Our subsoils are chalky with sandy or stony soils, beneficial to the finesse of our wines.

The proximity of woodland to our vines creates a biodiversity that is very important to us.

Each brings its own specific notes, from fruity and floral aromas to spicy touches, contributing to the richness and complexity of our cuvées.

Terroir and climate: a precious alliance

The vines, planted on the dominant slopes of the Cher river, benefit from Perruche-type clay-limestone and flint soils.

The unique micro-climate of the Loire Valley, with its good light, natural ventilation and low rainfall, favors optimal ripening of the grapes, directly influencing the structure and aromas of the wines.
